Postcard Scavenger Hunt - Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower's snazzy firefly- like lighting was installed in 2003! The SNTE (Société nouvelle d'exploitation de la tour Eiffel) declared that all night-time images of the tower and its lighting display were under copyright! This made it actually illegal for tourists to share or publish their nocturnal Parisian memories! The courts finally ruled that it wasn't possible to copyright a public monument! Say cheese Eiffel Tower!

Here is a home movie of the scintillating tower! It sparkles like this for five minutes every hour:)

I certainly did NOT buy this edible gem! Francois has a wonderful eye for finding wild mushrooms! We eyed this one while hiking through the forest! He whipped up a FABULOUS omelet with it too. I certainly did NOT buy this gooey decadent chocolate cake and eat half of it as a midnight snack! Nope. I'm a dieting Saint. Carrot sticks are my friend. Francois did NOT open the fridge this morning and give me the 'you're busted' look! I certainly did NOT look in the mirror this morning and find (eeeeek!) chocolatey smudges around my mouth. No way José!

Omphale's Spinning Wheel by Camille Saint-Saëns

This stunning vintage postcard reminds me of the symphonic poem by Camille Saint-Saëns titled, Omphale's Spinning Wheel. The music depicts the wheel with whirling string and woodwind figures and eventually, a melody and rhythm of jerky duplets, perhaps suggesting the spinner's use of a foot pedal. It's a vivacious and elegant piece of music!

Vertu is now taking orders for the Signature Cobra, designed by French jeweler Boucheron, but you had better be quick as only 8 are being made! The Cobra will feature one pear-cut diamond, one round white diamond, two emerald eyes and 439 rubies. Vertu will also be offering a “cheaper” version, ruby free, at $115,000 (£62,162). Eeeek! I so won't be buying this!

i am daring to play match maker! my treasure this week for vintage thursday thingies is a product of 1972, my sweet, beautiful cousin daniel , who lives in stockholm, sweden

because i know how wonderful he is, because i love him, because my biggest wish for him is to find true love, i am advertising him on my blog today

i’m also doing it because we live over 1000 kilometers apart- i know for sure i have at least 24 hours to plan my escape

daniel has lived most of his life in sweden and spent years studying in the states. he is a talented architect living and working in stockholm. he is also a distinguished portrait artist and spends his time working, volunteering, enjoys traveling, spending his time outdoors in the nature.

i am also taking the liberty of listing requirements of what i know for sure he wants in a woman:

straight female, non-smoker, a self loving woman who is not masochisticly stuck prefering the classic bad boy

daniel is a truly nice guy which we all know can be a rare breed- who will stay nice days, weeks, months, and years after you meet him
